THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARE SELF ISOLATING | QUARANTINE | TIME TO REFLECT




 As many of you know, that the entire world is facing a lock down and whilst Gibraltar is facing a semi-lock down due to the Coronavirus. We never thought that 2020 is going to be like this especially after all the Brexit scenario;  Our year started of us thinking about the EU will no longer be part of us anymore which was so sad to us. Now we are going something which worse, it is a life or death situation;  we are being told to self distance ourselves from our friends and families, especially our grandparents who we love dearly!  We have lost our freedom in this moment and now we can reflect on life and understand how self isolation really feels because a few of us have to go through it all year round even before this virus came to our lives.

Whether you are working from home or simply not working at all; just sat down in your house counting the days until freedom approaches us; counting the days will just make it longer; so these are just a few things which I have started doing at home to cure my boredom. I hope they you cure yours too!!

1. Binge on your favourite Netflix episode - I finally have the chance to finish Riverdale season 2.

2. Learn a new language - I can now get back to learning Chinese 

3.  Cook - You now have time to learn all the new recipes that you found online but never had time to do them.

3. Write a journal of the things you want accomplish in 2020 - I have finally started doing half of mu list!

4. Write a novel - Have you always been wanting to start writing your novel ? But never had the time ? Well now you can

5. Colour in / draw - It is known that coluring in and drawing is a good form of relaxing and it keeps your mind occupied if all this is making you feel anxious !

6. Clean your room - I have cleaned and organised my room yesterday; let me to tell something, it is the most satisfying thing ever!!

7. Go through your e-mails - Delete all the e-mails you do not need anymore; something so easy yet we never do it.

8.  Call / facetime friends - We all have those friends who we don't call or even facetime, so its time to catch up.

9. Make a list of all the things you want to do once you are out from your hose - Something so simple, like go eat in my favourite cafe.

10. Build a fort - Something kids my generation used to do in rainy, bring back your inner child.

11.  Do yoga - With all the fear we are living in at this every moment, yoga helps you focus on your body and reflect on your present; Get lost through your inner child pose.

12. Create a ''Self Isolation Challenge'' on social media - I have started posting the different things I do during different days and post them on social media, like keeping a small diary.



*Disclaimer: Please, please and please wash your hands! With soap and water, catch it, bin it and kill it! Stay at home in order to kill these germs, if we stay at home and do follow rules; we will be able to find some light soon!
